2. Data We Collect
Analytics (Vercel Analytics): A privacy-first web analytics tool that does not use cookies. It collects anonymous aggregate data including pages visited, country of origin, and device type. No personally identifiable information is collected. IP addresses are hashed before any storage.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4): A web analytics tool from Google that uses cookies ('_ga', '_ga_Q4VM2NW4HH') to distinguish unique visitors and measure sessions. We have configured GA4 with Google Signals and ad personalization signals disabled. Both analytics tools load only after you grant consent via our cookie banner.
Contact form: When you submit an enquiry, we collect your name, email address, and message content. This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry.
Spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile): To prevent automated submissions, our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile. When you submit the form, Cloudflare receives your IP address and limited technical signals (browser headers, basic device characteristics) in order to confirm you are not a bot. Turnstile does not set cookies, does not fingerprint you for advertising, and the data is processed only for the purpose of fraud and abuse prevention. Cloudflare acts as our processor for this purpose; their privacy notice is at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
3. Legal Basis
Analytics: Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Contact form submissions: Pre-contractual measures at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
4. Cookies & Local Storage
Vercel Analytics does not place cookies on your device. Google Analytics 4 places cookies ('_ga' and '_ga_Q4VM2NW4HH') only after you accept analytics on our consent banner. We store your privacy preference in your browser's localStorage. We do not use third-party marketing, advertising, or social-platform tracking cookies. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
5. Data Retention
Contact form data is retained for up to 24 months. Vercel Analytics data is retained for up to 12 months. Google Analytics 4 cookies have a default lifetime of up to 2 years; we have configured the GA4 property to retain user-level data for 14 months. You may request deletion at any time.
6. Your Rights
Under GDPR you have the right to: access your data, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object. To exercise these rights contact us at contact@ascend.bg.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP): www.cpdp.bg.
